GWADAR HANDLES BOXES

Pakistan’s Gwadar port has at long last started container handling operations with the berthing of the Hong Kong-registered Zi Jing Song, at the deepsea port.

It is expected that the container business will focus initially on the export of local fish to international markets. The government says that the Gulf port of Gwadar will be fully operational by the end of the year, having been restricted to handling seasonal cargoes in the past.
